Gloria Ternes

Born and raised in Germany, Gloria Ternes had her first violin lessons at the age of 10. After graduation she began her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, and finished her degree at the Universiät Mozarteum Salzburg under the tutelage of prof. Lukas Hagen, first violin of the Hagen quartet.

As a regular player with the Camerata Salzburg she has worked and performed with renowned conductors and soloists in Austria and important musical centres in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the USA as well as at festivals such as the Salzburger Festspiele, the BBC Proms and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. She is also dedicating her time to period performance practice and is performing on the baroque violin in several ensembles.
